Denmark has had a topsy-turvy day in the first round of the centennial All-England Super Series with an equal share of wins and defeats at press time. Amongst the survivors is the dashing Dane Joachim Persson, who defeated Sweden's Henri Hurskainen in straight sets of 21-12 ,21-18 to book his second round ticket. Just 18 months ago, Persson was touted the successor to Peter Gade when he broke into the world's top 10 and was runner-up at the 2008 Denmark Super Series. A series of set-backs had, however, unsettled Persson's confidence but the 27-year-old shared with Badzine in a video interview that despite sitting at world number 24 now, he is still determined to get back up. The key, he believes, is to focus on the process and not the results.
